1. Information we collect
Depending on the services you use, we may collect:
- Account information such as your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, address, profile image and login details.
- Identity and verification information, including KYC status and information supplied for identity, BVN or NIN verification where required.
- Transaction information such as wallet funding, purchases, transfers, beneficiaries, bill-payment details, references and transaction status.
- Device and technical information such as IP address, device type, operating system, app version, diagnostic logs and security events.
- Messages, support requests, survey responses and other information you voluntarily send to us.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; process airtime, data, bill, wallet and other requested transactions; verify identity; prevent fraud; provide customer support; send service and transaction notifications; improve our services; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our terms.
3. Payments, KYC and service providers
We may share the minimum information necessary with payment gateways, banks, virtual-account providers, identity-verification providers, mobile networks, billers and other vendors that help deliver a service you request. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Biometrics
When you enable biometric sign-in in the mobile app, fingerprint or facial matching is performed by your device. Kwiify does not receive or store your fingerprint or facial biometric template. Your device may use a secure credential to approve access to locally protected sign-in information.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website may use cookies or local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, support security and understand service performance. You may control cookies through your browser, although disabling essential cookies can prevent some features from working.
6. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet financial, tax, regulatory or other legal requirements. When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised where reasonably possible.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so users must also protect their password, transaction PIN, OTP and device access.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing, or request account deletion. Some records may still be retained where required by law.
You can submit an account-deletion request through our account deletion page.
9. Children
Kwiify is not intended for children who cannot legally consent to the processing of their information or enter a binding service agreement. We may request age or identity verification where appropriate.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, providers or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
